We ARE CHRISTIANS and belong to Jesus Christ's authorized church on the earth!
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and disciples of Jesus Christ, one of the prophets in the Book of Mormon perfectly describes how we feel about our Savior:
“..We labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.... And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins...” 2 Ne 23

We are Christians. As a followers of Jesus Christ “..We labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.... And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins...” 2 Nephi 25: 23

Jesus Christ lived a perfect life and did not need the cleansing waters of Baptism. He was baptized to show the way for us. He was baptized by IMMERSION for the Remission of sins by one in authority to perform the baptism.

Mormons, like all believing Christians, look forward to the day of the Savior's Second Coming.
